Information Manager v.4.1 is an address book, appointment calendar, note pad calendar, Internet
browser and much more. Thirty two bit software designed to carry the Microsoft tm "Windows 95" label,
Information Manager v.4.1 has been carefully crafted to be simple and flexible yet integrated and powerful.
Fully color and font configurable Information Manager v.4.1 resizes all dialog displays to fit the screen.
A minimum screen resolution of 640 x 480 x 256 colors is supported but best results are realized at higher
screen resolutions. Information Manager v.4.1 offers unique user specified data filters. Through the use of
these filters custom access to your data can be achieved. Information Manager v.4.1 also comes with
Microsoft tm Internet Explorer built right into the program and in many areas is tightly coupled with
the Internet. These are a few of the main features.

Information Manager v.4.1 is not trying to be all things to all people, just the basic things most people
want in an information manager. Whats more important though is a well designed secure system to
manage your valuable data. Information Manager v.4.1 comes in various motifs. The current motif is a
collection of Renoir paintings. It consists primarily of a collage of six graphics that are displayed
on the main screen. These graphics can be viewed as full screen displays. Over time other motifs will
also become available. Custom motifs using your graphics are also available.


Q: How do I install Information Manager v.4.1?

Information Manager v.4.1 comes with a built in installation program "setup.exe". If you receive Information
Manager v.4.1 disks you will find it on disk one. We encourage you however, to download. Download all files
into the same directory folder. Decompress the first file and execute "setup.exe". Carefully enter information
as directed by the setup program. During installation the installation program will prompt you for a serial
number. If you are a registered user enter your license number. If you are a trial user enter anything you
want, your entry will be accepted.

Installation is a two part process. Part one is running "setup.exe" which decompresses the archive and
copies the files to your system. A directory folder is also created called "Information Manager". Part two
begins when you run Information Manager v.4.1 for the first time. Program registry entries are created,
the latest Microsoft Data Access Pack is installed, the data source is configured and the calendar control
is registered. See the "Trouble Shooting" section for help solving installation problems.

The installation program will prompt you for a serial number. If you have purchased J.I.M. enter your
license number. If you are a trial user type in anything you want. Your entry will be accepted. Information
Manager v.4.1 will install the latest Microsoft Data Access Pack the first time it is run. Unless you know for
sure that you already have it installed choose "Yes" when asked if you want to install it. When offered the
two drivers check boxes the top check box is required and either check it or hit the "Select All" button.

Information Manager v.4.1 comes with the Microsoft tm Internet Explorer built right into the program.
It is fully integrated with and physically a part of Information Manager v.4.1 It is prerequisite that you have
Microsoft tm Internet Explorer installed in your machine. If you do not, follow the link to download the
latest version from Microsoft. If you do not have it installed Information Manager v.4.1 will still work but the
browser feature may not function. The browser part of Information Manager v.4.1 relies on dynamic link
libraries that are installed with Microsoft tm Internet Explorer.

When you run Information Manager v.4.1 you will first get the login window. Enter your login and password
and the first time be sure to write them down. You will need them each time you run Information Manager

different license agreement signed by W. Johnson & Associates Inc. your use of this software product indicates
your acceptance of this license agreement and warranty.

Shareware Version Evaluation and Registration

This is not free software. Subject to the terms below, you are hereby licensed to use this software for evaluation
purposes without charge for a period of 30 days. If you use this software after the 30 day evaluation period
payment of the registration fee is required. Payments must be in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank, and should
be sent to W. Johnson & Associates Inc., Twelve Horne St., Saint Charles, IL 60174-4146. Quantity and other
discounts are available. When payment is sent you will receive a registered copy of the latest version of J.I.M..

Restrictions

This License allows the Licensee to exercise the rights granted herein and must be retained by Licensee.
Licensee may not rent, lease or otherwise transfer any part of the software or its accompanying documentation.
Licensee may make a limited number of copies of the software specified by the number of licensed Users as
well as a reasonable number of back-up copies. The Software contains W. Johnson & Associates Inc. copyrighted
material, trade secrets and other proprietary material. Licensee must reproduce the W. Johnson & Associates
Inc. copyright notice and any other proprietary notices found on the original software on all copies of the
software. Licensee shall not, without prior written permission from W. Johnson & Associates Inc., permit anyone
else, to decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble or otherwise reduce the software to another form, or to rent,
lease, modify, network, distribute, loan, or create derivative works based on the software or its documentation
in whole or in part. Any and all information obtained during such unlawful reverse engineering and / or
decompiling activities, including but not limited to, the organization, logic, algorithms and processes of the
software, shall be deemed to be confidential and proprietary information of W. Johnson & Associates Inc.
Licensee shall not make copies of any documentation accompanying the software without prior written
permission of W. Johnson & Associates Inc.

If Licensee receives the first copy of the software electronically, and a second copy on media, the second copy
may be used for backup and archive purposes only. This License does not grant Licensee any right to receive
enhancements or updates to the software or accompanying documentation. Enhancements and updates, if
available, may be obtained by Licensee at W. Johnson & Associates Inc. then current standard pricing, terms,
and conditions. Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights to content accessed through the
software is the property of the applicable content owner and may be protected by applicable copyright or other
law. This License gives Licensee no rights to such content. W. Johnson & Associates Inc. may furnish the
software and on line help to Licensee electronically or on media in machine readable object code form.

With regard to the registered version. One registered copy of J.I.M. may either be used by a single person who
uses the software personally on one or more computers, or installed on a single workstation used
nonsimultaneously by multiple people, but not both. You may access the registered version of J.I.M. through a
network, provided that you have obtained individual licenses for the software covering all workstations that will
access the software through the network. For instance, if eight different workstations will access J.I.M. on the
network, each workstation must have its own license, regardless of whether they use J.I.M. at different times or
concurrently.

Technical Support

Technical support is not provided by W. Johnson & Associates Inc. for this product. Technical support may be
provided by the Service Provider distributing the product at Service Provider's option. W. Johnson & Associates
Inc. may, at its discretion, provide updates to the software. Upgrades to the software and its documentation, if
any, are not included and may be sold separately.

Disclaimer of Warranty

Licensee acknowledges and agrees that the use of the software and all accompanying documentation is at
Licensees sole risk. The software and documentation are provided "AS IS" and without warranty of any kind.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAWS, THE STATED WARRANTIES ARE IN LIEU OF
ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WRITTEN OR ORAL, STATUTORY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT
LIMITATION THERETO, THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, THE WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. W. Johnson & Associates Inc. DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE FUNCTIONS
CONTAINED IN THE SOFTWARE WILL MEET LICENSEES REQUIREMENTS, OR THAT THE OPERATION OF THE

NEGLIGENCE, SHALL W. Johnson & Associates Inc. AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS
BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOSS
OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION AND THE LIKE)
ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE OR ITS DOCUMENTATION, EVEN IF W.
Johnson & Associates Inc. OR ITS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY
OF SUCH DAMAGES. In no event shall W. Johnson & Associates Inc. total liability to Licensee for all damages,
losses, and causes of action (whether in contract, tort, including negligence, or otherwise) exceed the amount
paid by Licensee for the software and its documentation.

No Waiver or Assignment

This License may not be assigned, sublicensed or otherwise transferred by the Licensee, by operation of law or
otherwise, without W. Johnson & Associates Inc. prior written consent.

U.S. Government Restricted Rights

The software and its documentation are provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS. Use, duplication, or disclosure by
the Government is subject to restriction as set forth in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data
and Computer Software clause at DFARS 252.227-7013 or subparagraphs (c)(1) and (2) of the Commercial
Computer Software - Restricted Rights at 48 CFR 52.227-19, as  applicable. Contractor/manufacturer is W.
Johnson & Associates Inc., Twelve Horne St., Saint Charles, Illinois 60174.

Export Controls

Licensee may not download or export the software or its technology except in full compliance with all United
States regulations and laws. The software or technology may not be downloaded or exported to a national or
resident from Cuba, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Syria, Yugoslavia, or any other country subject to a
United States embargo.

Termination

This agreement may be terminated immediately by either party in the event of default by the other party. If
this Agreement is terminated, Licensee will immediately discontinue use of the software and shall return all
copies of the software and its documentation to W. Johnson & Associates Inc. within fourteen (14) days.
Licensee may also terminate this Agreement at any time by destroying all copies of the software and its
documentation.

General

This Agreement represents the only statement of the terms relative to this license between the parties and
supersedes any previous agreements or representations. This Agreement may only be amended in writing, and
must be executed by both parties. W. Johnson & Associates Inc. IS NOT BOUND BY ANY PROVISION OF ANY
PURCHASE ORDER, RECEIPT, ACCEPTANCE, CONFIRMATION, CORRESPONDENCE, OR OTHERWISE UNLESS
W. Johnson & Associates Inc. SPECIFICALLY AGREES TO THE PROVISION IN WRITING. If any section of this
Agreement is held to be unenforceable for any reason, the section shall be reformed only to the extent
necessary to make it enforceable. This Agreement shall be governed by United States and Illinois law.

Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by United States and Illinois law.
